The employees at the bargaining table are from South Buffalo Mercy, Kenmore Mercy, and Sisters of Charity Clinic on the St. Joseph Campus.
CWA union nurses and other team doing work for Catholic Wellness have voted to authorize a strike.
The union is worried about staffing shortages and doing work circumstances for nurses, technologists, and other well being employees.
CWA says the strike could occur as early as October 1 when their agreement is set to expire, but no formal date has been set yet.
Maureen Kryszak is a registered nurse at South Buffalo Mercy.

The workers at the bargaining desk are from South Buffalo Mercy, Kenmore Mercy, and Sisters of Charity Hospital on the St. Joseph Campus.
“We have labored via the trenches of hell for the final two decades, and the respect for us has gone down,” Kryszak mentioned.
If there is a strike, it would only be at South Buffalo Mercy.
